Training on Business Model and Business Plan for cooperatives

2022-08-19

Bank Indonesia's Central Java Provincial Office, in collaboration with RIWANI Globe as a business advisory organization, has conducted training on cooperative management and business models, as well as the preparation of cooperative business plans. The training aimed to enhance the capacity of members, management, supervisors, and administrators of farmer cooperatives in Central Java, thereby increasing the cooperatives' role in supporting the local economy.

The trained cooperatives were those fostered by Bank Indonesia in Central Java: Gupon Sekar Langit Cooperative, Citra Kinaraya Cooperative, and Karya Makmur Cooperative. Participants were highly enthusiastic, engaging actively in the materials, discussions, group work, and presentations. Using a participatory approach, trainers stimulated awareness through brainstorming, group work, and open discussions to share experiences within their cooperatives.

As a result of this training, the cooperatives successfully developed business models and business plans, and formulated strategic plans for the next five years. This initiative has empowered the cooperatives to play a more significant role in driving economic growth in their communities.
