I have been working in the economic development of local communities for many years. Her areas of expertise in livelihoods of coastal communities, traditional use right and access for fishing, gender’s role in fisheries and community based economic development.
She is interested in stakeholder and community engagement and building markets for community developed marine products. She has particular interests to empower women enterprises in building competitive advantage in their business. Her research interests in gender highlights how women could be better in organizing their business, as part of productive and reproductive roles. She continuously promotes the incorporation of gender in natural resources governance.
